Why Wild?

WhyWild is the community of consumers, chefs, retailers, businesses, recreational fishermen, commercial fishermen, processors, and others in the salmon marketplace who value wild Pacific salmon and all that our wild salmon represent and support.  Through WhyWild, Trout Unlimited works to educate and engage this community of wild salmon stakeholders in Trout Unlimited’s efforts to protect, reconnect, restore and sustain wild Pacific salmon, their fisheries, and the communities that they support.

As a consumer and someone who demands healthy wild salmon both in our rivers and on our plates, you play a critical role in keeping wild salmon populations viable and sustainable.  You have a voice and the power to use that voice in support of salmon-friendly policy and resource management decisions.  Therefore, take a few minutes to learn more about our nation’s wild Pacific salmon and what you can do to help ensure that future generations can experience this iconic and delicious resource that millions of people around the world enjoy and rely upon today.
